More than 40 girls from the Central Shenandoah Valley and other parts of Virginia will be expanding their horizons in math and science this weekend at James Madison University.
The Expanding Your Horizons conference will be ongoing on Saturday at the ISAT/CS building at JMU with students in grades 9-11 taking part in hands-on activities bringing math and science concepts to life.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Monica Neagoy, a former mathematics professor at Georgetown and former program director at the National Science Foundation.
