Coast Guard flotilla honors

Two U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 82-Shenandoah Valley members were honored recently.
– The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Aids To Navigation Verifier Certificate was presented to Bill Gardner of Staunton.
– The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Sustained Service Award, his first award, was presented to Michael Stoher of Staunton.
Flotilla 82 was also presented the Flotilla Achievement Award for Public Affairs for the USCG Fifth District Southern Region for 2006.
The next meeting for USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 82 will be on Oct. 17 at the Augusta County Government Center in Verona at 7 p.m.
