Contributors

Moose Lodge #1309 of Waynesboro hosted a special Thanksgiving dinner for employees at Vector Industries. Moose members who took part in the effort, from left to right, are Jane Crummett, Evelyn Shatterwhite, Susie Mize, Kirt Johnson, Lanore Mathis, Freddie Hipes, Shirley Fisher, Jim Carver, Rose Lafferty, Tina Lloyd and Kathy Milliser.

This marked the 28th year that the Moose Lodge has provided dinner for employees at Vector, which gives local people with diverse disabilities the opportunity to earn a living, gain dignity and develop skills, self-worth and pride.

Members of the Moose Lodge, lead by Milliser, prepared and served Thanksgiving dinner with music provided by Carver. And then, in a special treat, before departing all employees were given a wrapped gift.

The meal, gift and the opportunity to dance offered Vector employees a refreshing break from work and an exciting day of entertainment and enjoyment that was valued and appreciated by all.

Vector, founded in 1969, employs more than 100 local residents.
