Valley Program for Aging Services joins National Movement to End Senior Hunger

Middlebrook Mobile Information Station Rescheduled for Jan. 30

Due to the inclement weather and Valley Program for Aging Services closure, the first Mobile Information Station (MIS) visit to the Middlebrook Station Library, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22 had to be postponed. It has been rescheduled for next Thursday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m., when the library opens.

Augusta Health accepted applications for single year grants in the fall this year. They requested that the grants address one of the priority areas defined by their recent Community Health Needs Assessment. One of those priorities is diabetes.


Staunton Senior Center Abounds with Holiday Atmosphere

Staunton Senior Center was all about creating holiday crafts this week as well sprinkling in some Christmas music and cheer for good measure! Monday found members gathered around a table designing lovely punch out cardinals suitable to decorate a tree or just hang from a special spot. Local Business Held Fundraiser for HR Meals on Wheels

Mitzie Campbell of Pet Sitting by Mitzie came to the Waynesboro office and gave VPAS an envelope full of checks totaling $930. These donations were collected from her business clients as the result of a solicitation letter she sent out asking for donations for Meals on Wheels.

SSC Fall Dance Committee Met for Final Review Oct. 17
