Bath Community Senior Center seeks substitute van driver, substitute director

bathlogolargeBath Community Senior Center seeks a substitute van driver: Van drivers work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is an on call, part-time position at BCSC under the supervision of the Center Director.

The substitute van driver will provide transportation for participants to and from their homes, as well as scheduled shopping and field trips.  They are responsible for the daily paperwork and van maintenance checks.  The van driver will also assist with serving the noon meal and other tasks as assigned. 

Qualifications:  Experience driving a 13 passenger van, and working with older adults preferred.  Applicant must have good written and verbal skills, a valid Virginia driver’s license & clean driving record.  Must enjoy working with older adults and be comfortable interacting with others.

Satisfactory pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, criminal background check, DMV record check, Virginia Driver’s License, behind-the-wheel driving tests, and a physician’s physical are required.

BCSC Seeks a Substitute Director: Bath Community Senior Center seeks a Substitute Director.  Position is Monday, Wednesday & Thursday as needed 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.    This is an on-call, part-time position at BCSC under the supervision of the Senior Director.

Qualifications: Provide socialization and recreation for individuals 60 years and older.  Manage daily operations of the Senior Center as instructed by the Director and complete daily paperwork as required.  1-2 years working with persons 60 years and older preferred. Experience in activity/programs for older adults, and ability to work independently.
