VMI sets ‘Football Kickoff’ location, time

The VMI Athletic Marketing and Promotions department has announced the location and design of its fall Quarterback luncheons, which are set to begin Thursday, Sept. 3 with an evening “Football Kickoff” broadcast live on 96.7 3WZ.

The luncheons will then begin Sept. 9, and will run every Wednesday during the 2009 Keydet Football season from noon to 1 p.m. They will take place at Salerno’s Family Restaurant, located at 115 S. Jefferson Street in downtown Lexington, and a buffet lunch, including pasta, pizza and other items, will be provided for a cost of nine dollars. No reservations are necessary to attend the proceedings.

Coach Sparky Woods is scheduled to speak at each of the gatherings, while other Keydet coaches and players will attend, based on availability. Coach Woods’ comments will be available each Wednesday evening on ‘Roo-Tube at VMIKeydets.com.
