The bridge connecting Sherwood Avenue in Waynesboro to Rockfish Road in Augusta County will be reopening Wednesday afternoon, July 8.
A call from a city public-works worker at the site at 3:15 p.m. today indicated that the bridge should be reopened to the public by 3:30 p.m. today.
The bridge has been closed to public travel since March 30. A routine inspection at that time revealed structural deficiencies in the bridge.
The project to address the deficiencies cost an estimated $25,000.
