While it’s certainly interesting that some of our famed locals are involved in an investment deal at Lofton Lake, it seems a bit of a stretch to have a story about it on the Editorial page of the News Virginian.

I think that Bill Hausrath is correct in his response in his Letter to the Editor that followed, that it goes with the territory that in such a community as ours, people will (and should) do business together. Shouldn’t we all be working together to further economic growth and progress in our community?

Implication of a conflict of interest is without merit.
