The latest on Jake the Snake Roberts: Will he be at Royal Rumble?

Chris Graham

jakethesnakeJake the Snake Roberts has not signed any kind of deal with WWE, according to a report in the Wrestling Observer, meaning his status for the Royal Rumble and possible induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is still up in the air.

It almost has to be assumed that the two sides would want to come to some sort of arrangement, at least concerning the Hall of Fame. Whether Roberts can do anything in the ring at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania 30 is very much at question, given his years away from the business and his long road to recovery from substance abuse. But Roberts has been working with Diamond Dallas Page, and his DDP Yoga, for more than a year, and looks to be in the best shape he’s been in since his last run as a wrestler, so anything is possible.

So from Roberts’ perspective, it’s no question that another run in WWE would be to his advantage. To WWE, it would also be to the company’s advantage to have Roberts make at least a couple more selected appearances, given the pop that Roberts received at Old School Raw last week, and the subsequent buzz on the Internet thereafter.
