Next time you’re in Dallas, head over to the American Airlines Center, and ask for a Just-In-Time Burger, a concoction dreamed up by Mavericks rookie Justin Anderson.
Anderson, a former star at the University of Virginia, teamed up with AAC Executive Chef Mark Mabry to bring the burger to life, according to a recent story on Mavs.com.
The skinny on the Just-In-Time: two pieces of Old Bay-seasoned Texas toast lathered up with deviled egg aioli and crumbled smoked bacon, topped by shredded Romaine lettuce, with a burger patty with provolone cheese, and on the bottom – yes, the bottom – a couple slices of vine-ripened tomatoes,
“It has to be on the bottom, because if it’s anywhere else — if it’s on the top, if it’s in the middle — what happens is when you bite the sandwich, the tomatoes always slide out,” Anderson said. “Notice, when I bit into it, everything’s still there in order.”
The burger will be available at the AAC through the end of January.
