Augusta County: Man arrested, $170,000 in narcotics seized, in motel raid

augusta countyDeputies with the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant on Wednesday at the Relax Inn Motel on White Hill Road in Mint Springs.

The subsequent investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately four pounds of methamphetamine, three ounces of crack cocaine, marijuana, approximately $36,000 in U.S. currency, and a stolen handgun.

Tonio Brandon Wallace was arrested and charged with the following:

-Possession with the intent to sell over 200 grams ofmethamphetamine

-Possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine.-Felon in possession of a firearm.

-Simultaneous possession of a firearm and Schedule IIdrugs.

-Possession of a stolen firearm.

-Child endangerment.

An infant, less than a year old,was present in the room and in Wallace’s care at the time of his arrest.

He is currently being held at Middle River Regional Jail without bond.

The narcotics seized have an approximate street value of $170,000.
