On Saturday, July 28, former Virginia Secretary of Education Anne Holton will campaign in Winchester, Harrisonburg, Luray, and Edinburg for her husband Tim Kaine, delivering a message of creating a Virginia that works for all. In Winchester, she will join 10th District Democratic congressional candidate Jennifer Wexton for a breakfast discussion with the Blue Ridge Democratic Women’s Committee.
Afterwards, Holton will join 6th District Democratic congressional candidate Jennifer Lewis for three events across the Shenandoah Valley. In Harrisonburg, she will attend a roundtable with educators where she will discuss her experience as Virginia Secretary of Education and lead a Q&A session. In the afternoon, Holton will join Page County Democrats and community members for pizza at the local VFW hall. Holton will end the day in Edinburg at the Shenandoah County Democrats’ annual picnic.
Holton will give special focus to Kaine’s longtime support for women in Virginia, including his commitment to equal pay and access to affordable health care, as well as his plans to improve education for all Virginians, including job training and career and technical education.
Kaine is up for re-election in November.
