A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Waynesboro, Staunton, Augusta County and the Shenandoah Valley through 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The National Weather Service is forecasting less than an inch of accumulation of snow and sleet and up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain today.
The precipitation is expected to change over to rain this afternoon, but pockets of freezing rain are possible throughout the afternoon hours.
Slippery conditions on roads are expected into the evening hours.
