lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesAdam Jones brought Baltimore back to within a run with a two-out, two-run single in the ninth, but Chris Davis struck out with runners on the corners to end the rally, and the O’s fell to Toronto, 5-4, Friday night.

The Blue Jays led 5-0 heading into the eighth, when the Orioles finally got on the board on RBI singles by Chris Parmalee and Davis.

Marco Estrada had taken a no-hitter into the eighth before giving up a leadoff single to Jimmy Paredes. Estrada (5-3) was lifted after the Paredes base hit, his 118th pitch of the night, and ended up being charged for one run on one hit, with six strikeouts and four walks.

O’s starter Mike Wright (2-3) only went an inning and a third, giving up four runs on three hits and four walks in his short stint.

UVA alum Tyler Wilson had a nice outing in relief for Baltimore, going five and two-thirds innings, giving up a run on five hits, striking out one and walking two.

In four appearances in 2015, Wilson has a 1-1 record with a 2.12 ERA in 11.1 innings.
