VPAS announces new executive director

jeriValley Program for Aging Services Inc.’s Board of Directors announced the appointment of long-time staff member and current co-interim executive director, Jeri Schaff, to the position of executive director.

Schaff brings significant expertise and experience to the position of executive director. She has been a VPAS employee for ten years, serving as director of Maury River Senior Center, director of senior services for Buena Vista, Lexington, Rockbridge County and Bath County, and most recently, as co-interim executive director.

In announcing the appointment of Schaff, VPAS Board Chair James R. Bennett, stated that the Board is very pleased and confident with the appointment.

“Ms. Schaff possesses strong leadership abilities and knowledge that will move our organization to the next level. The Board of Directors looks forward to a prosperous future founded in professional and strong leadership coupled with exemplary staff and volunteers,” Bennett said.
