Tim Williams was unanimously elected mayor, but the vote for vice mayor was the first in what we can assume will be a series of 3-2 votes from the new Waynesboro City Council.

Frank Lucente was elected vice mayor in a party-line vote. Lorie Smith was defeated in her bid by a similar 3-2 party-line vote.

Mike Hamp was tapped to serve as the interim city manager in a 5-0 vote.

More from the city-council reorganization meeting later this morning.
