Childhood obesity focus of BRCC workshop

A workshop on childhood obesity has been set for Wednesday, June 17, from 8 a.m. to noon at Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave.

Dr. Daniel Davidow, the medical director at Cumberland Hospital in Richmond, will speak on the topic Children and Weight: What Schools and Communities Can Do, at the Plecker Center at BRCC.

The workshop can serve as recertification credit for educators, dietitians and health professionals.

The cost to attend is $25.
