Eight Hardy Hikers Traversed Star Trail

Contributors

ssc hikersSix Staunton Senior Center members were accompanied by Program Director Lori Pullin and volunteer and birder Brenda Bruce to Fishersville for a mini outing which consisted of traveling to the Star Trail at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center to enjoy the beauty of nature and the wonderfully breezy day! Along the trail surrounding the lake, the hikers viewed Canadian geese, a catbird, a red-winged blackbird, and a grackle thanks to Brenda’s expertise and binoculars; and listened to the sweet melodies of the birds. What a pleasant time to enjoy each other’s company as well as the great outdoors! The next hike is intended to be held in the cool of the autumn.
