Culpeper District Traffic Alerts: April 1-5

transportation road workThe following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week. Traffic movements may be restricted and speed limits reduced in work zones. (NEW) or (UPDATE) indicate revisions since last week’s report.

Albemarle County

Route 29 (Seminole Trail) – Signal work at Route 643 (Polo Grounds Road). Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

(NEW) Route 29 (Seminole Trail) –Pothole patching operations between the Nelson County line and Route 712 (North Garden Lane). Expect alternating lane closures Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

(UPDATE) Route 29 (Seminole Trail) – Signal work at Route 1417 (Woodbrook Drive). Expect intermittent lane closures Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

(NEW) Route 626 (James River Road) – Debris removal from the Nelson County line to Route 627 (Warren Ferry Road). Expect alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

(NEW) Route 627 (Porters Road/James River Road) – Debris removal from Route 6 (Irish Road) to Route 726 (James River Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(NEW) Route 631 (Old Lynchburg Road) – Debris removal from Route 631 (Appleberry Mountain Road) to Route 780 (Old Lynchburg Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

(NEW) Route 635 (Miller School Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 692 (Plank Road) and Route 637 (Dick Woods Road). Alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

(NEW) Route 692 (Plank Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 635 (Millers School Road) and Route 814 (Drovers Lane). Alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

(NEW) Route 692 (Plank Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 29 (Monacan Trail) and Route 712 (North Gardens Lane). Alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

(NEW) Route 692 (Plank Road) – Pipe repairs between Route 635 (Miller School Road) and Route 637 (Dick Woods Road). Expect alternating lane closures Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(NEW) Route 708 (Red Hill Road) – Debris removal near Red Hill Depot Road. Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(NEW) Route 708 (Secretarys Road) – Debris removal from Route 620 (Rolling Road) to Route 29 (Monacan Trail Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

(NEW) Route 747 (Preddy Creek Road) – Road patching and other repairs between Route 600 (Watts Passage) and Route 640 (Gilbert Station Road). Expect alternating lane closures Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 1521 (Timberwood Parkway) – Hollymead Dam Reinforcement Project. Northbound lane closed under VDOT permit from Shadybrook Trail to Cove Pointe Road. Follow signed detour.

(NEW) Route 1547 (Homestead Farm Road) – Pipe replacement between Route 601 (Free Union Road) and the dead end. Expect alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Wendesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Culpeper County

(NEW) Route 633 (Alum Springs Road) – Resurfacing operations from Route 229 (Rixeyville Raod) and Route 632 (Dutch Hollow Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Wednesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Route 643 (South Merrimac Road) – Resurfacing operations from Route 29 (James Monroe Highway) to Route 603 (White Shop Road). Expect lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

(NEW) Route 780 (Review Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 762 (Brandy Road) to the dead end. Alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Fauquier County

(NEW) Interstate 66 – Pavement investigation between mile marker 18 and 20. Westbound right lane closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Route 15/17/29 (Eastern Bypass) – Shoulder closures in both directions near Route 880 (Lord Fairfax Drive) for Warrenton Southern Interchange project. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Route 600 (Broad Run Church Road) – Preparation for resurfacing operations. Expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Route 603 (Greenwich Road) – Preparation for resurfacing operations from Route 648 (Ebenezer Church Road) to Route 806 (Elk Run Road). Expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Route 610 (Midland Road) – Preparation for resurfacing operations from Route 648 (Ebenezer Church Road) to Route 806 (Elk Run Road). Expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Route 643 (Eustace Road) – Construction of temporary road over Licking Run for bridge project. Expect intermittent lane closures on Route 643 for material and equipment delivery Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

(NEW) Route 655 (Lucky Hill Road) – Railroad crossing repairs under VDOT permit. Road closed to through traffic near Route 656 (Remington Road) Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Use posted detour.

(UPDATE) Route 656 (Remington Road) – Resurfacing operations from Route 1203 (Franklin Street) to Route 853 (Station Drive). Expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

(NEW) Route 681 (Holtzclaw Road) – Ditching operations between Route 211 (Lee Highway) and Route 802 (Springs Road). Road closed to through traffic Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Use alternate routes via Route 688 (Leeds Manor Road).

(NEW) Route 712 (Elihu Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 647 (Crest Hill Road) and the end of state maintenance. Expect alternating lane closures Wednesday.

(NEW) Route 722 (Deplane Grade Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 17 (Winchester Road) and Route 50 (John Mosby Highway). Expect alternating lane closures Wednesday through Monday, April 8.

Route 880 (Lord Fairfax Drive) – Shoulder closures in both directions near Route 15/17/29 (Eastern Bypass) for Warrenton Southern Interchange project. Expect intermittent flagging operations for material and equipment delivery at construction office. Be alert for workers near the travel lanes Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

(NEW) Route 1550 (Wellington Drive) – Resurfacing operations between Route 678 (Old Waterloo Road) and the dead end. Alternating lane closures controlled by flagging Monday through Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Fluvanna County

Route 629 (Deep Creek Road) – Rehabilitating bridge over Middle Fork Kent Branch near Route 631 (Dogwood Drive). Road closed to through traffic. Follow signed detour. Anticipated completion Oct. 2019.

Greene County

(NEW) Route 609 (Reva Lane) – Brush removal between Route 33 (Spotswood Trail) and Route 29 (Seminole Trail). Alternating lanes closures Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(NEW) Route 646 (Garth Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 810 (Dyke Road) and Route 33. Alternating lane closures Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(NEW) Route 1001 (Ford Avenue) – Resurfacing operations between Route 637 (Octonia Road) and Route 33 (Main Street). Alternating lane closures Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Orange County

Route 3 (Germanna Highway) – Intersection improvements at Route 20 (Constitution Highway). Right shoulder closed. Be alert for workers near travel lanes Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

(NEW) Route 15 (James Madison Highway) – Utility work under VDOT permit. Expect intermittent traffic stops in both directions between Route 690 (Black Level Road) and Route 706 (Pickett Road) for overhead utility line work March 31 between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Rappahannock County

Route 211 (Lee Highway) – Mobile debris removal operations from Page County line to the Culpeper County line. Right lane and right shoulder closed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Route 211/522 (Lee Highway) – Westbound bridge replacement over the North Fork Thornton River. Westbound bridge closed to traffic. Follow temporary traffic pattern. Westbound traffic will use eastbound left lane. Anticipated completion July 2019.

(NEW) Route 522 (Sperryville Pike) – Pipe replacement between Route 675 (Old Massies Corner Road) and Route 647 (Crest Hill Road). Alternating lane closures Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

(NEW) Route 622 (Rock Mills Road) – Resurfacing operations between Route 211 (Lee Highway) and Long Mountain Road. Alternating lane closures Monday and Tuesday.
