With jury selection ongoing in the Staunton obscenity case involving Commonwealth’s attorney Ray Robertson and his prosecution of After Hours Video owner Rick Krial, I thought it a good time to point our readers back to the stories that we wrote on the case in our sister publication The New Dominion Magazine in January.

The People v. Rick Krial: Staunton obscenity case has national attention” features in-depth interviews with Robertson and Krial’s attorney, Paul Cambria, on the ins and outs of the case against Krial.

Defense lawyer ready for courtroom brawl” is a feature on Cambria, whose adult-industry clients include Hustler publisher Larry Flynt.

Politics at heart of controversy” provides an inside look at the Citizens Task Force Against Pornography and its leader, Andrea Oakes, who was elected to Staunton City Council in May.

Prosecutor makes case” takes you inside the mind of Robertson as he was preparing for the legal fight that seems to be here with us, finally.
