The UVA women’s tennis team posted three singles wins to highlight final-day action at the Duke Fab Four Invitational Sunday (Sept. 14) in Cary, N.C.


JMU basketball defeats San Jose State, 79-66

JMU pulled away with a 9-0 run to close the first half and got a career-high 19 points from sophomore forward Taylor Bessick (Philadelphia, Pa./Rise Academy) in a 79-66 victory over San Jose Stateon Sunday afternoon on the final day of the NIU Invitational at the NIU Convocation Center.


JMU basketball loses to Milwaukee, 77-66

Jordan Aaron had five of Milwaukee’s 11 three-pointers as part of a 24-point effort as James Madison fell 77-66 on the second day of the NIU Invitational on Saturday at the NIU Convocation Center. UWM improved to 3-1 with its third straight victory and second of the invitational. JMU fell to 1-2 in the first meeting between the programs.


JMU basketball wins at Northern Illinois, 60-55

Sophomore point guard Ron Curry (Pennsauken, N.J./Paul VI) tallied a career-high 19 points as JMU staved off Northern Illinois’ second-half push for a 60-55 victory in the opening game of the NIU Invitational on Friday night at the NIU Convocation Center.
