Update: Missing Waynesboro woman found safe

Lee Nora MobleyUpdate: 8:55 p.m. Deputies with the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office located Nora Mobley Lee near the Staunton Mall this evening.  She did not require medical attention.  She has been cleared as a missing person from NCIC/VCIN.  The Waynesboro Police Department appreciates all assistance it received during the search.

 

Original Post: 5:39 p.m. The Waynesboro Police Department is requesting assistance from the public to locate a missing Waynesboro woman.  Nora Mobley Lee, 56 years old, was last seen by her family on Friday, July 10, when she left to attend a church breakfast at the Waynesboro Golden Corral.

She sent a text to family members that evening saying she was going to go to her sister’s residence but never arrived.  She was seen at the Staunton Walmart on July 12th but has not contacted her family.  Mrs. Lee has a serious medical condition that requires her to take medication daily.

Due to her condition, she maybe disoriented and unaware of her surroundings.

Mrs. Lee is an African American, female who is 5’4”, 210 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.  She wears eyeglasses.  There is no clothing description available.  She is driving a gold 2000 Honda Accord with a Virginia license plate, 3938-BAL.

A missing person’s report has been filed with the Waynesboro Police Department and she has been entered into the national database, NCIC/VCIN.
