Franklin County: 18-year-old man ejected from vehicle in crash, dies at scene

An 18-year-old Virginia man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Sunday at 1:08 a.m. in Franklin County.

Zebadiah Blaze Peery, of Boones Mill, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

His Ford F-250 was traveling on Naff Road when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, down an embankment and overturned, ejecting the driver.

The crash occurred on Naff Road, one and a half miles west of Route 220, according to Virginia State Police.

The crash remains under investigation.
