Polling done by Public Policy Polling last week on the 2013 Virginia governor’s race have it as a toss-up, unless, of course, U.S. Sen. Mark Warner were to enter the field.
Warner leads Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling 50 percent-36 percent and leads Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli 53 percent-36 percent, according to PPP.
This would be assuming that Warner would want to enter the race. If he doesn’t, either Bolling or Cuccinelli would appear to have the inside track toward victory against former Democratic National Committee chair Terry McAuliffe or former Fifth District Congressman Tom Perriello, the two names being thrown around most frequently as potential Democratic Party nominees.
Bolling leads both McAuliffe (40 percent-37 percent) and Perriello (39 percent-36 percent), while Cuccinelli is tied with McAuliffe (at 40 percent) and trails Perriello by two (41 percent-39 percent).
