Contributors

ValleyFest, the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce’s ninth annual Beer and Wine Festival, returns this on year on Saturday, May 23, at Massanutten Resort. Known for showcasing Virginia’s finest wineries, microbreweries, and a variety of domestic, craft, and import beers, ValleyFest is a day-long festival with something for everyone.

The festival is an all-day event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Local bands EZGO and Junk Food are set to perform. This live entertainment is brought to you by Coors Light and Blue Ridge Beverage.

EZGO, a self-described “dance band,” will be on stage from Noon to 3PM covering rock and roll oldies from the 50’s- 80’s to get the crowd moving. A Broadway local, they’re sure to be a hit.

Returning for another year, JunkFood will be on stage playing a mix of original and cover songs, from 3:30 to 6:30PM. Named best local band by the Washington Post, JunkFood was a definite crowd pleaser last year and is sure to be a hit again.

Platinum Sponsor Shenandoah EyeCare will hold a raffle to benefit the Chamber. Raffle items include:

• Coach sunglasses;

• Oakley sunglasses with built-in mp3 player;

• Two roundtrip airfares to Dulles courtesy of Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport; and

• A three-day, two-night stay for four, plus four rounds of golf, at Massanutten Resort.

Come prepared to buy a ticket and win. Drawings will be held throughout the day, and winners do not need to be present to claim prizes.

While you’re sipping on fine craft beer and wine, do a little shopping! Our quality crafters and specialty vendors offer unique treasures and interesting items. Visit the Chamber website at www.hrchamber.org to see a complete list of participating crafters, beer distributors and wineries.
