The ACC Network is turning 5: Reminder that it’s time to start watching ACCN again

Chris Graham

acc network It’s hard to believe that the ACC Network has been around for going on five years. It’s not hard to believe that it’s been months since I last watched the ACC Network, which has no value outside of the football and basketball seasons, and not even much then.

Maybe that’s why the ACC is embroiled in litigation with Clemson and Florida State over the conference not making enough money to keep up with the SEC and Big Ten.

The SEC Network, incidentally, turned 10 this week.

The Big Ten Network debuted way back in 2007.

And here we are, getting ready for the rollout of ACC Network Five Year Anniversary,” set to premiere on ACCN on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. ET.

If you miss it then, you can be sure it will be on multiple other times over the next couple of weeks, given the lack of original programming on the network, which is one of the big problems for the league, in terms of its hopes in making money off this thing.

There actually is one segment on the anniversary show for UVA fans to look forward to: featuring ESPN.com’s Andrea Adelson, who will report on the legacies of Devin Chandler, D’Sean Perry, and Lavel Davis Jr., the victims in the Nov. 13, 2022, mass shooting.

Adelson has been reporting on that story since Day 1.

I can speak to that personally; I sat beside her at the memorial service for Chandler, Perry and Davis at JPJ.

Maybe look for the clip of her talking about the guys on YouTube later.

That way you won’t have to sit through the endless praising of Duke and Carolina that will fill up the rest of the hour.

Kevin Federline has a spokesperson: And more nonsense news nuggets

A headline in my email box today reminded me of what’s wrong with the American news media. “Kevin Federline,” the headline screamed at me, “Breaks Silence on Ex-Wife Britney Spears Voluntarily Checking Into Rehab.” Stop the presses, indeed.
