Sen. Mark Warner on Senate Keystone pipeline vote

Chris Graham

warnerU.S. Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA) released this statement following today’s 59-41 vote on the Keystone pipeline. Sixty votes were required for passage.

“I support construction of the Keystone pipeline.  A State Department environmental review found the project will not significantly add to global warming, it will create jobs (though likely not as many as supporters claim), and it will allow the U.S. to increase its energy security.  After six years of study and debate, it is time to approve this project.”
