The Waynesboro Public Library Foundation is commencing its campaign to assist the city in the $2 million expansion of the South Wayne Avenue public library this weekend.

The foundation will operate a hot-dog stand at Kroger on Arch Avenue on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

Hot dogs will be sold for $1.00 and soda for 75 cents. Brownies and cookies will be sold at 50 cents per package. All proceeds go directly to library expansion.

Organizers hope the hot-dog stand raises money and awareness of the fundraising campaign in the Waynesboro community, Foundation board member Barbara Reid said. “With your help we’ll be able to reach our dream of a new building,” Reid said.
