Wayne Theatre looks for volunteer ambassadors

Chris Graham

wayne theatre ambassadorsThe Wayne Theatre Ambassadors help prepare the venue, greet, scan tickets and serve our patrons in a hundred different ways. Daytime hours are available for Monday movies and arts education programming as well as the box office.

Are you interested in helping with performances at the Wayne Theatre? All volunteers will need to submit an application and attend a one-hour training session. Anyone ages 15 and up may volunteer with us.

To get started, volunteers are asked to submit an application form available on the WTA website.

Applications may be dropped off at our business office (533 W. Main St.) or mailed to us at P.O. Box 1821, Waynesboro, VA 22980.

You may also scan and email to [email protected].

Once your application is submitted, the WTA will be in touch to schedule a one-hour training with you.

Upcoming training sessions

New dates are set regularly and often aren’t reflected on the Wayne Theatre website. Registration is required to attend volunteer sessions. Times do vary and may not be the same every week. Generally, however, the times below are offered.

  • Tuesdays at 10:00am
  • Fridays at 10:00am
  • 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm

Attire

Volunteers are asked to wear dark navy slacks and white shirts (button down for men). Jackets are allowed but should be dark navy to match. A tie/scarf will be provided by the theatre.

Where does all that money that Ben Cline is raising for his campaign go?

I saw an article on Mediaite today about an item in Jon Ossoff’s campaign finance report regarding $2,887 spent on “makeup services,” and thought to myself, I bet Ben Cline has items in his most recent campaign finance report that we can make fun of.
