In a recent press release, Robert Morton, Principal of RLM Consulting, announced plans to enhance the firm’s strategy planning and development service areas.  The Toronto-based consulting firm has expertise in the following areas: new product development, organizational effectiveness, change management, and strategic planning. The firm helps strengthen operations by focusing on key priorities, including strategic decision support, strategy development – mission, vision, values, and governance.

Rob Morton, a 20 plus year verteran of the financial services industry, formed RLM Consulting to provide hands-on-finance consulting services in support of challenges, like performance improvement, transformation and cost reduction, among other areas.

Commenting on the announcement Robert Morton said: “We are committed to our clients and the organizations that we serve. With strong experience in the financial services industry, we are pleased to be in a position to assist these organizations with their business goals.”

Before founding RLM Consulting, Morton served as CFO for two major financial services companies and has background working in securities, asset management, equities, capital markets, and mutual funds.  Morton spent 3 years with Home Capital Group Inc., where he was responsible for all aspects of financial support, treasury, strategic and capital planning/development, procurement and investor relations for Home Capital and Home Trust.

For over 21 years, Robert Morton served in a capacity of roles at State Street Bank, most recently as the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer at State Street Canada as well as the Principal Officer of State Street Bank and Trust Company – Canada Branch and the President of State Street Fund Services Toronto Inc. He’s also led numerous Canadian and global merger and acquisitions (M&A), due diligence projects and business integrations, and had the opportunity to manage, train, develop and mentor a diverse staff of over 60 professionals worldwide.

Clients of RLM Consulting work in the retail technology, not-for-profit, and financial services sectors, among others.

Morton has said that organizational effectiveness is a key component to strengthening any business.

Robert Morton holds a range of licenses and certifications, including his CPA, CMA designation.  He is also active in the community, sitting on the board of several organizations including New Hope Non Profit Dwellings (Durham) Inc. in Oshawa.
