Orioles fall to first-place Toronto, 5-1

baltimore oriolesMarco Estrada held the Baltimore Orioles to a run on four hits in seven innings, pushing Toronto to a 5-1 win at Camden Yards Monday night.

Estrada (8-6, 3.37 ERA, 1.08 WHIP) struck out four and walked one for the Blue Jays (75-56).

Wade Miley (8-11, 5.43 ERA, 1.41 WHIP) pitched well in taking the loss, giving up three runs on five hits in seven innings, striking out nine and walking two.

He was done in by two homers – by Josh Donaldson (34) and Jose Bautista (16).

J.J. Hardy (.264/.302/.411, 8 HR, 34 RBI) had a solo homer on a 2-for-3 night for the O’s (71-60), who are four games back of Toronto in the AL East, and have a one-game lead on Detroit for the second AL wild-card spot.
