Harrisonburg Police said Friday that a 1-year-old local girl who was reported missing on July 1 has been located in Arizona.
The infant, Khloee Shipway, was entered as a missing person as part of a Child Protective Services investigation. At the time the report was made, no criminal charges had been filed in the case, and she was not believed to be in imminent danger, according to a statement from the Harrisonburg Police Department.
Without going into specifics, the PD said that “due to the sensitive nature of this case,” it did not go public with the report about Shipway being listed as missing, “to protect the integrity of the investigation and ensure Khloee was brought to safety as soon as possible.”
Shipway was found safe in Bullhead City, Ariz., a city of 43,000 located near the Arizona/Nevada border about 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas, on Friday.
Her mother, Megan Beeman, is currently wanted in Rockingham County for two felony probation violations, according to the HPD.
