Girl Scout cookie season is back in full swing, and locals should be able to load up on favorites starting next week.

Cookies should arrive locally in Virginia between Jan. 14-17 and will be on sale through March 31.

One cookie offered locally will be retired after this season, but don’t worry, the classics are safe for now.

  • Thin Mints
  • Samoas
  • Tagalongs
  • Trefoils
  • Do-si-dos

In addition to the classics, the 2025 lineup also includes:

  • Adventurefuls: Brownie-inspired cookies topped with caramel flavored crème with a hint of sea salt
  • Lemon-Ups: Crispy lemon cookies baked with inspiring messages
  • S’mores: Graham sandwich cookies with chocolate and marshmallow flavored filling.
  • Toffee-tastic: Gluten free buttery cookie with sweet and crunchy toffee bits.

The S’mores cookie flavor, introduced in 2017, will be retired after this year.

Where to purchase cookies

  • Reach out to a local registered Girl Scout if you know one
  • Use the official Girl Scout Cookie Finder tool to find local cookie booths
  • Beginning Feb. 21, enter your zip code into the Girl Scout Cookie Finder for shipment to your door

The 4-1-1 on Girl Scouts

While most of us buy the cookies because they are delicious, your purchase also teaches Girl Scouts entrepreneurial skills including goal setting, money management, decision making, people skills and business ethics.

All proceeds from local cookie sales stay with Virginia Skyline Council Girl Scout troops to fuel experiences throughout the year including camp, trips, service projects and more.

For more information on local Girl Scout troops, visit www.gsvsc.org, email [email protected] or call (540) 777-5100.
