October 20th brings some local favorites to the 1st night of Mojo Saturday Night’s second season!  Hosted by Kevin Chisnell, Mojo Saturday Night has established itself as a magnet for Blues lovers from Central Virginia.    The evening starts at 8 pm at 329 West Main at WTA’s Gateway.  Doors open at 7:30 pm.

“The man with a big voice,” and bigger heart, Chris Woodson will be joined with his guitar-playing partner, John Goslin. Chris and “Goose”, open the night with an array of soulful blues, original ballads and gospel tunes. They promise music to be uplifting to every soul that is present. Their music has taken them all over the country and they always land in their backyard. John Goslin recently said, “We love Waynesboro and really look forward to playing at the Gateway. Mojo Saturday Night is becoming the place to be in the Staunton, Waynesboro and Charlottesville area. Good music and a wonderful atmosphere.”

Pure Blind Luck is making an encore appearance on the Mojo stage, fresh off of a great performance at the Chili, Brews and Blues Festival. “Pure Blind Luck is a group of guys who love the blues and love to make good music”, host Kevin Chisnell says, “They are a bunch of very, very talented individuals who collectively make up an awesome, rockin band.”  When they get cookin’ this band is smokin’ hot and serve up some mighty delicious rhythm and blues.

Pure Blind Luck is: Mark Jackson (bass, vocals), Will Moon (guitar, vocals) Wayne Parham (guitar, vocals), Larry Swift (keyboards, vocals) and Leonardo Lopez (drums).

Mojo Saturday Night is the region’s only monthly blues revue set in a “listening room” atmosphere. Advanced tickets are $10 and can be purchased online (www.wtagateway) or by calling the box office (540-943-9999). Remaining tickets are available at the door for $12 on the night of the show.
