TNA Slammiversary News: MVP not cleared for main event

Chris Graham

tnaMVP has not been medically cleared to compete at TNA Slammiversary on Sunday night, and has been removed from the main event match with World Champion Eric Young.

MVP suffered a torn meniscus in a match on a Preston City Wrestling card in the UK on May 30. It has been speculated since the injury that it might be serious enough to keep him from the Slammiversary main event.

There is no official word from TNA on who will replace MVP in the main event. Talk behind the scenes seems to be centering on Bobby Lashley, who is currently scheduled for a match with Samoa Joe on the card.
