A Charlottesville man has been arrested for his role in an alleged gang shooting last October on Rio Hill Drive.
Jamarques Lamont Andres Jones, 18, of Charlottesville, is the fourth person arrested in connection to the Oct. 19, 2024, shooting that killed a 23-year-old man and injured a second person. Zerrion Eubanks-Warfield, 23, of Charlottesville, died at the scene.
The homicide, according to the Albemarle County Police Department, involved multiple gunshots, and several vehicles and apartments were struck as a result.
Jones has been charged with:
- Malicious wounding (§18.2-51.2)
- Malicious wounding by mob (§18.2-41)
- Gang participation (§18.2-46.2)
- Conspiracy to commit a felony (§18.2-22)
- Three counts of use of firearm in commission of felony (§18.2-53.1)
Jones is being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

- Darnell A. Morris Jr., 24, of Charlottesville
- Kaveigh J. Palmer, 20, of Richmond
