marketingThe popular Building the Machine web and marketing business series from Augusta Free Press is being offered in Downtown Waynesboro in June. The Building the Machine curriculum is aimed at small business and nonprofits looking to build a marketing, social media and public relations strategy.

Taught by AFP editor Chris Graham, the classes will provide you with the building blocks for an effective approach to reaching out to consumers, business-to-business clients, donors and sponsors.

Topics covered include websites, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, advertising and public relations.

Stand out from a Crowd: Advertising 101

One-hour class focuses on strategies to get your word out including digital and online advertising and more conventional advertising including print, tv and radio. Taught by Chris Graham. Includes time for Q&A. (1 Hour) $25 per participant

One-hour class focuses on how you can sell out your next event using Facebook and other social media, a targeted newsletter campaign and other PR-driven efforts. We’ll also have a discussion of what kind of traditional advertising works for events. Includes time for Q&A. (1 Hour) $25 per participant

Payment/Refunds: Payment is due in advance unless otherwise noted. No refunds will be given for any reason. In the event of a cancellation on our part for any reason, a credit will be issued for the amount of the class to you to use on future classes with AFP. Classes will be cancelled if they fail to meet the minimum student requirement.

Internet: Wireless is available. Laptops are welcome. Please arrive 10 minutes early to set up your laptop and wireless pass code.
