Augusta County: Two dead in stabbing incident in Mount Solon area

Two men are dead following a stabbing at a Fourth of July party in the Mount Solon area of Augusta County early this morning.

The victims have not been identified.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office has detained multiple individuals for questioning.

Deputies responded to a 911 call at 2:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Old Quarry Road. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered the two adult male victims.

Despite life-saving efforts, both individuals died.

The bodies have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Manassas for autopsies and identification.

A preliminary investigation indicates this was an isolated incident involving parties known to each other.

At this time, there is no known threat to the Mount Solon community, according to a statement from the ACSO.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
