Augusta County: Individual with firearm near Wilson schools, heavy police presence

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a person in crisis, possibly with a firearm, near the Wilson schools complex.

As a result, there is a heavy police presence in the area of Jefferson Highway, near the Augusta County schools.

The schools have been placed in “secure” mode until the incident is resolved, the ACSO reported.

There is no further information at this time.
