The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Network has named Peter Kolbe its chief development officer.
Kolbe’s task as chief development officer will be to continue the development of funding sources for the Verona-based Food Bank Network, which serves a 12,000-square-mile area.

Kolbe is a licensed attorney with experience in charitable government service, government affairs, fundraising and lobbying.

“I’m tremendously excited to be a part of the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Network and its critical mission of feeding those in need,” Kolbe said. “The economic downturn has dramatically increased the demand for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Network’s services, and I look forward to working with current and new donors to ensure that there is sufficient funding to fulfill the Food Bank’s goal of providing three nutritious meals for every hungry child and two nutritious meals for each adult in its service area.”
