Contributors

scoutsOn Friday June 14, four young men – Alden Hough, Andrew Lynch, Andrew Schmidt and Anderson Vollmer – were honored by the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 86, for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.

The event was held at the New Hope Methodist Church in New Hope Virginia.

Alden Hough just graduated from Fort Defiance High School. Andrew Schmidt is at Wilson High School, as are Andrew Lynch and Anderson Vollmer. Together, they completed close to 1,000 hours of community service.

They each completed an Eagle Project. Hough refurbished the press box at Fort Defiance. Lynch redid the food prep area at the SPCA. Schmidt built a patio at the Unification Church in Waynesboro. Vollmer taught emergency preparedness for the Red Cross.

The Scoutmaster of Troop 86 is Adam Early, also an Eagle Scout.
