AFP, New Dominion, local Dems headed to D.C. for Obama inauguration

Chris Graham

The Augusta Free Press/The New Dominion and the Waynesboro Democratic Committee are teaming up to sponsor a bus trip to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 20, 2009, to witness Barack Obama’s inauguration as the 44th President of the United States.

Tickets for the bus trip are $50 and cover transportation to the Metro station in Vienna in Northern Virginia and Metro tickets to and from the inauguration in Washington, D.C. The AFP/The New Dominion and the local Democratic Committee are working to secure additional tickets to the inauguration, but we encourage those who are planning to attend to try to do this on their own.

The plan is to have everybody at the least able to attend the free and open to the public inaugural parade that is on the schedule for the day.
Those who wish to join us on the bus trip are asked to RSVP to [email protected] by Monday, Dec. 8, at noon. Tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
