Virginia DMV mobile operations’ schedule for 2019 now available

Contributors

Virginia DMVThe Virginia DMV mobile operations’ schedule for 2019 is now available online.

Eleven mobile teams are bringing DMV service to all corners of the Commonwealth at locations and times convenient to customers. While more than 40 DMV transactions can be conducted online, customers who need to go to DMV can look for a mobile visit which, in many cases, has shorter wait times than customer service centers.

In addition to making the 2019 schedule available, DMV has made it easier for Virginians to find a mobile DMV near them. A redesigned mobile operations schedule is available at dmvNOW.com/DMV2Go.

Customers can search for visits by date or jurisdiction. An indicator beside each location shows if a DMV 2 Go bus or DMV Connect team will be conducting the visit. DMV 2 Go is a full-service office on wheels while DMV Connect is an “office in a suit case” that sets up at a table inside the facility. DMV 2 Go offers all DMV transactions while DMV Connect offers all transactions except vital records and testing.

When necessary, a note on the schedule shows exactly where the DMV 2 Go bus will be parked or where the DMV Connect team will be set up inside the location.

“The goal of DMV’s mobile operations is to bring service to busy Virginians at times and locations convenient to them,” said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. “The redesigned online schedule allows Virginians to quickly find a DMV visit near their home or office.”

Customers can apply for a REAL ID compliant driver’s license or ID card while visiting to DMV 2 Go or DMV Connect. For more information about REAL ID, visit dmvNOW.com/REALID.
