wrestling-ring2Lance Russell backstage at Raw: WWE Monday Night Raw was in Memphis this week, and Jerry “The King” Lawler wasn’t the only Memphis wrestling legend to appear in front of the live audience.

Lawler introduced legendary Memphis TV announcer Lance Russell to the live crowd before the live show hit the air.

Russell was the voice of Memphis wrestling from 1959 to 1997.

Raw TV viewer numbers up slightly: Nielsen reported that Raw saw a small uptick in viewers for its post-Night of Champions show, up 1 percent from the go-home show last week.

The average viewer number for the three-hour show was 3.879 million, putting Raw at #2 among cable-TV programs behind ESPN’s Monday Night Football, which drew 13.265 million viewers.

Nash to appear in Magic Mike sequel: kevin nash announced on Twitter this week that he will reprise his role as Tarzan in the sequel to Magic Mike.

Magic Mike XXL, starring Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Jada Pinkett Smith, is slated for a 2015 theatrical release.
