UVA alums Brogdon, Anderson face off in NBA Summer League

nbaUVA alums Malcolm Brogdon and Justin Anderson faced off Wednesday night in the NBA Summer League, as Anderson’s Dallas Mavericks cruised to an 81-64 win over Brogdon’s Milwaukee Bucks.

It was a bit of an off-night for both former Cavs, at least offensively, with Anderson scoring five points on 2-of-10 shooting, and Brogdon also scoring five points on 2-of-15 shooting.

Anderson had eight rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes for Dallas, and Brogdon had six rebounds, five assists and no turnovers in 32 minutes for Milwaukee, spending considerable time running the point for the Bucks.

In four games to date, Brogdon is averaging 10.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 31.3 minutes per game, shooting 38.5 percent from the field.

Anderson is averaging 15.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 26.8 minutes per game for Dallas, shooting 33.9 percent from the field.
