Tim Kaine | Time to get behind Deeds

Chris Graham

We’ve had a spirited campaign season thus far, and I couldn’t be more excited about our chances this fall with Creigh Deeds as our candidate for governor. For months, the opposition believed that our primary would divide us and hurt our chances of winning in November. We’ve proved them wrong, and I’m so impressed by your strong support and enthusiasm for our ticket.

The primary made our Democratic candidates tougher and sharpened their focus. Now it’s time to unite our resources against the opposition. While Republicans were able to build up Bob McDonnell’s campaign coffers over the last six months, Creigh has just finished a competitive primary and will need to raise a significant amount by June 30th to replenish his campaign account.

I know that times are tough and that many of you have already given. But, June 30th is an important fundraising goal – not only for Creigh, but for all of us who wish to see Virginia move forward. Under Creigh’s pragmatic, results-orientated leadership, Virginia will continue to be the best managed state, the best state for business, and the best state in which to raise a child. I will be working as hard as you will to elect the Democratic ticket this year, and it’s important that we make early investments to help jump start the general election effort!

I hope that you will help by contributing.

Contribute to the Creigh Deeds for Governor Campaign and Make an Investment in Virginia’s Future.

Last week in Richmond, I stood with Terry McAuliffe and Brian Moran as we pledged our support to Creigh Deeds for governor. On Saturday in Williamsburg, Creigh and his ticket mates Jody Wagner and Steve Shannon joined me, Sens. Mark Warner and Jim Webb, Congressman Bobby Scott, and other Democratic leaders at an exciting unity rally for the entire Democratic ticket. Together, we will accomplish wonderful things in November.

Thank you in advance for your participation and investment this year. Let’s work harder than ever to keep moving Virginia forward.

Tim Kaine is the governor of Virginia.
