Staunton man arrested on meth charges

Members of the Skyline Drug Task Force attested Dustin Griffin, a 36-year-old male from Staunton, on an outstanding warrant for distribution of methamphetamine.

During the arrest, Griffin fled on foot and was quickly apprehended by members of the task force. A search of Griffin revealed currency, methamphetamine and more suspected narcotics. Griffin was served the original distribution warrant as well as charged with a second distribution of methamphetamine, a felony, escape by force and misdemeanor damage property.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time and further charges are possible.

The Skyline Drug Task Force is composed of investigators from Staunton Police Department, Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Appomattox Filed Office.
