A pop-up health clinic will remove the barrier of cost to people seeking care this weekend in Augusta County.

Remote Area Medical is offering the services at Augusta Expo Center in Fishersville March 21-22. The clinic is hosted by the RAM Campus Chapter at UVA.

Dental, vision and medical services will be offered to anyone who attends at no cost. No ID is required, and patients will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

The parking lot opens at midnight on Friday night and will remain open for the duration of the clinic. Clinic doors open at 6 a.m. The clinic will close when capacity is reached.

The event offers free dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, eye health exams, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on site, women’s health exams and general medical exams.

It will also offer pediatric healthcare, Narcan training, diabetes education and testing, clothing closet, haircuts, retinal scans and more.

Since 1985, RAM has served more than one million individuals through more than 1,600 clinics, delivering more than $215 million in free care.

Patients should be prepared to choose between dental and vision services; all will be offered general medical care.

Augusta Expo Center is located at 277 Expo Road in Fishersville.

For more information on the upcoming RAM Clinic, including how to volunteer or donate, visit www.ramusa.org or call (865) 579-1530.
