Pumpkin spice latte has been available for a couple of weeks now, so it’s the proper time to be thinking of Halloween, which will be the focal point for a new program from the Augusta County Historical Society.
ACHS is offering guided evening tours at Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton under the name “Shadows, Secrets, and Sin: The Dark Side of Thornrose” on Saturdays in the month of October.
The sales pitch from the Historical Society folks:
In Thornrose, a cemetery that has never been haunted, the real stories of some buried there are far more grotesque, shocking, violent, evil, and grislier than any ghost story could ever be. This is an opportunity to experience the shadowy side of Thornrose that lies just below the surface.

Due to the subject content of this program, it is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.
