Tens of millions of folks still don’t have health insurance, despite ObamaCare, which the Trump regime is trying to get rid of, with its concepts of a plan.

Tens of millions more are stuck in healthcare plans with high deductibles that still make it costly to be sick, so, they only go to the doctor when they have a limb about to fall off, or worse.

Remote Area Medical, a nonprofit founded back in 1985 that brings doctors, dentists and vision care to people who otherwise go without, will be doing its thing again here in the Augusta County area the weekend of March 21-22.

RAM will be set up at Augusta Expo in Fishersville, with the help of the RAM chapter at the University of Virginia.

Free services offered include:

  • general medical exams
  • women’s health exams
  • dental cleanings and extractions
  • eye exams and prescription glasses made on-site
  • audiology, pediatrics, Narcan training, haircuts and retinal screenings will also be available at this clinic.

No insurance or ID are required; the upcoming clinic in Fishersville is open to anyone in need.

The parking lot will open no later than midnight on Friday night, March 20. and remain open for the duration of the clinic.

Once in the parking lot, additional information regarding clinic-opening processes and next steps will be provided.

Clinic doors open at 6 a.m.

Services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.

Sunday’s clinic operations will be an abbreviated day; patients are advised to arrive as early as possible.

Due to time constraints, patients should be prepared to choose between dental and vision services.

Patients may also visit the Facebook Event for this free clinic.
